Recruitment of a junior project engineer to complete the company’s technical area currently consisting of 5 resources and one manager.
Purpose: Developing the job order in order to arrive at the definition of the technical-commercial offer that meets the customer’s requirements in terms of performance; developing the design of the product optimised in terms of cost, quality and performance; managing the bills of materials and related activities.
Main tasks:
Dimensioning radiant masses
Define the rough components that will make up the cooler unit
Calculate cooler unit costs
Liaise with technical customers and the company’s sales department to define the cooler unit
Design and develop 3D models
Produce 2D drawings of components and assemblies
Create and manage bills of materials
Update the progress of technical development phases within PLM
Update 3D, 2D and BOM following requests for internal (purchasing, quality, production and commercial) or external (customers and suppliers) changes/revisions
Assisting quality in the resolution of technical/design NCs
Supporting the technical manager in the definition and implementation of product and process standards
On request, producing assembly instructions and user manuals for customers.
The resource will be inserted inside the Technical Office, reporting to the Technical Manager; he/she will also interface with the company’s internal stakeholders (technical/commercial, purchasing, quality and production) and external stakeholders (customers, suppliers).
Requirements:
Technical studies with a mechanical orientation: degree in mechanical engineering preferred
Previous experience in the technical department of one year (not mandatory)
Use of CAD drawing and modelling software (preferably SolidEdge)
Knowledge and use of the Office package
Good knowledge of the English language, spoken and written
Ability to manage design activities on order
Ability to analyse the product and the process with a view to industrialisation
Ability to design from a design-to-cost perspective, evaluating the costs of the components designed
Preferential qualifications are
Knowledge of carpentry work such as: laser cutting, bending, calendering, welding
Use of PDM and PLM
Use of ERP systems (preferably SAP Business One)

Salary and salary will be agreed during the interview and will be commensurate with the type of figure selected, based on the type of studies and previous experience in a similar role.
