Radiator for 230 kW Mercedesbenz OM936 engine

In agricultural machines, especially in the collection vehicles, the clogging of the radiator it’s almost granted and it’s necessary to predict already in the design phase the type of the external fin that allows the passage of dirt through the cores.

In extremely harsh conditions this is not sufficient and so further measures are therefore necessary to allow easy and quick cleaning of the radiator. The sugar beet harvester equipped with this radiant unit mounts a 230 kW Mercedesbenz OM936 engine; the radiator conveyor is equipped with two pneumatic cylinders that allow quick inspection and cleaning. Safety is ensured through a sensor placed in the inspection door: when the opening is detected, the rotation of the fan stops automatically.
